The Night Auditor is responsible for the preparation and disposition of all Night Audit work. Responsible for the front desk operation during the overnight shift (Typically 11pm-7am). Primary responsibilities include: registering guests, making reservations, preparing daily reports, balancing transactions, and conducting security walks.

Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of progressive experience in a hotel or related field required.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- College coursework in a related field is helpful.
- Previous supervisory responsibility preferred.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of accounting principles.
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to resolve guest issues and respond to emergencies.
- Proficiency in Windows OS, spreadsheets, and word processing.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to evaluate and select among alternative actions quickly and accurately.
- Ability to work well under stress and high-pressure situations.
- Effective problem-solving skills, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving issues.
- Ability to assimilate complex information from various sources and adapt as needed.
- Understanding of financial information, data, and basic arithmetic.
- Ability to work in a self-managed environment.
- Good listening skills and ability to clarify concerns.

Additional Responsibilities:
- Approach all guest and staff interactions in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
- Maintain regular attendance per hotel standards.
- Maintain high standards of appearance and grooming, including uniform and name tag.
- Comply with all hotel standards and regulations for safe and efficient operations.
- Maintain a friendly and warm demeanor at all times.
- Initiate and complete the End of Day process.
- Run required reports for audits.
- Complete the Night Audit checklist daily.
- Balance daily work including revenue, postings, and paperwork.
- Maintain cashiering responsibilities and Front Office system operation.
- Perform all Front Office functions during overnight hours (11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.).
- Ensure security checks and guest requests are handled promptly.
- Follow safety and emergency procedures.
- Maintain proper record keeping.
- Be familiar with hotel policies and house rules.
- Complete initial direct bills and attach backup documentation.
- Maintain radio contact with staff.
- Possess knowledge of security procedures.
- Ensure staff are attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous.
- Prepare and distribute daily reports.
- Transfer master accounts as needed.
- Distribute work and train new Night Auditors as requested.
- Run morning reports and manage newspaper delivery and express check-outs.
- Ensure nightly walk-throughs and room service tray removal are completed.
- Handle Lost and Found items according to standard.
- Complete reports and other duties as assigned, including food and beverage assistance if applicable.
- Attend meetings and perform other duties as requested by management.
