Pay Starting At: $19.20/hour

Overview

The Front Desk Night Clerk will serve as ambassador to the hotel, handling check-ins and check-outs, answering calls, and upholding Guest Service Standards. Responsibilities include nightly accounting and assisting housekeeping during the midnight shift. The role involves computing, classifying, and recording financial data, performing routine accounting duties, and verifying transaction accuracy.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Resolve guest complaints to ensure satisfaction.
• Maintain knowledge of hotel features, room types, rates, availability, and scheduled activities.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas.
• Manage cash bank securely.
• Read and record information in the log book daily.
• Process payments, currency exchange, and adjustments.
• Operate and secure the Property Management System.
• Verify and correct reports related to room rates, banquet charges, and other transactions.
• Reconcile accounts and run end-of-day reports.
• Backup system files and ensure system interfaces are operational.
• Complete all closing procedures and verify work completion.
• Attend departmental meetings and training as needed.

Education And Experience

• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least one year of hotel experience in a similar role.
• Ability to work overnight shift (11 pm - 7 am).
• Basic computer skills required.
