Job summary

Hampton Inn San Jose Cherry Ave is seeking a reliable Night Auditor to manage overnight front desk and financial tasks with accuracy. You’ll balance transactions, ensure reports are correct, and prepare for the next day’s business while delivering exceptional guest service.

Ideal candidates have 1–2+ years of Night Audit experience, strong MS Office and hotel-system skills, and a meticulous, organized approach to work. This overnight role offers a clear growth path and team discounts.

Qualifications

• Night Audit experience in a branded or luxury hotel is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent, higher education a plus.
• Must be 18+ and dependable with a positive attitude.
• Fluent in English; Spanish desirable.
• Strong computer skills, including MS Office and hotel systems.

Responsibilities

• Audit, balance, post, and report daily front desk, room, and F&B transactions.
• Reconcile cash and credit operations for accuracy.
• Complete nightly audit and maintain financial records.
• Reset registers and prep systems for the next day.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Provide professional, welcoming service to overnight guests.
• Support front desk operations and guest requests overnight.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and secure work environment.
• Follow all hotel policies and standards.

What You’ll Do

As a Night Auditor, you’ll help ensure the hotel’s financial and front-office operations are accurate, balanced, and ready for the next day. Responsibilities include:

• Audit, balance, post, and report daily front desk, room, and food & beverage transactions.

• Reconcile cash and credit operations to ensure accuracy.

• Complete the nightly audit and ensure all financial records are properly maintained.

• Reset registers and prepare systems for the following business day.

• Identify and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

• Provide professional and welcoming service to overnight guests.

• Assist with front desk operations and guest requests throughout the night.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and secure work environment.

• Follow all hotel policies, procedures, and standards.

What We’re Looking For

• 1-2+ years of Night Audit experience in a branded or luxury hotel environment is ideal.

• High school diploma or equivalent required; an Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management or a related field is a plus.

• A dependable, positive attitude and a willingness to be part of our ROCKSTAR Night TEAM.

• Must be 18+ years of age.

• Strong computer and software skills; experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and hotel-specific platforms such as OnQ, Opera, Fosse, Lightspeed, HotSOS, GXP, BOB, Kipsu, and Slack is beneficial.

• Strong communication and active listening skills.

• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

• Fluency in English required; additional languages are a plus. Spanish language skills are highly desired.

• Comfortable handling cash, coins, and currency during overnight operations.

• Highly organized, dependable, and detail-oriented.

• Ability to work independently and maintain accuracy during overnight hours.

Compensation

$21.00/hour
