Job summary

The Sheraton Reston Hotel is seeking a Night Auditor for the 11pm–7:30am shift to manage the front desk and guest services. You will welcome guests, issue keys, handle reservations, and provide information about rooms, rates, and amenities.

Responsibilities include checking in/out guests, verifying credit cards, responding to inquiries, coordinating with housekeeping, upselling services, keeping accurate records, and covering other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Experience as Front Desk Agent or Night Auditor.
• Experience with hotel reservations software (Lightspeed, EMPOWER GXP).
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational abilities.

• Verify guaranteed arrivals and validate credit cards.
• Respond to guest inquiries and resolve issues.
• Maintain front desk areas and greet guests warmly.

Job description

Night Auditor (11pm - 7:30am Shift) The Sheraton Reston Hotel is looking to add a skilled Night Auditor to their team to manage all aspects of hotel guest’s accommodation. You will welcome new guests and issue room keys, manage reservations and provide information about rooms, rates, and amenities.

General Requirements

• Perform all checkin and checkout tasks
• Review all guaranteed arrivals and verify that all credit cards are valid by running numbers that are not already in house
• Respond promptly to any guest inquiries or complaints and offer an alternate solution if guest request cannot be met
• Complete the passon log whenever a complaint is reported
• Maintain all areas of the front desk
• Take the initiative to greet guests in a friendly and warm manner
• Manage online and phone reservations
• Inform customers about payment methods and verify their credit card data
• Register guests collecting necessary information (like contact details and exact dates of their stay)
• Welcome guests upon their arrival and assign rooms
• Provide information about our hotel, available rooms, rates, and amenities
• Respond to guests’ complaints in a timely and professional manner
• Liaise with our housekeeping staff to ensure all rooms are clean, tidy, and fully furnished to accommodate guests’ needs
• Upsell additional facilities and services, when appropriate
• Maintain updated records of bookings and payments
• Cover other areas of hotel as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience

• Prior experience as a Hotel Front Desk Agent, Night Auditor, Receptionist, or similar role
• Experience with hotel reservations software, Lightspeed & EMPOWER GXP
• Customer service experience
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
