Overview

The Front Desk Night Clerk will serve as an ambassador to the hotel, handling check-ins, check-outs, answering calls, and upholding Guest Service Standards. Responsibilities also include nightly accounting and assisting housekeeping needs during the midnight shift. The role involves computing, classifying, and recording data to maintain financial records, verifying figures, and performing routine accounting duties.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Resolve guest complaints to ensure satisfaction.
• Maintain knowledge of hotel features, room types, rates, and daily operations.
• Monitor cleanliness and organization of work areas.
• Manage cash bank securely.
• Read and record information in the log book.
• Process payments, currency exchange, adjustments, rebates, and credits.
• Operate and secure the Property Management System (PMS).
• Verify and correct reports and postings, including room rates and charges.
• Reconcile accounts, audit cashiers' work, and verify package postings.
• Input sales figures, run reports, and ensure system interfaces are operational.
• Complete end-of-day procedures, backups, and distribute reports.
• Complete maintenance requests and attend training sessions.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least one year of experience in a similar hotel position.
• Ability to work overnight shift (11 pm - 7 am).
• Basic computer skills required.
