Peachtree Group seeks a diligent Night Auditor to manage nightly audit tasks while delivering exceptional guest service at the hotel front desk. The role supports check-ins/check-outs, reservations, and guest inquiries to ensure a high level of overnight service.

The position emphasizes cash handling, room status tracking, and coordination with Front Office Management to maintain smooth overnight operations and guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Complete nightly audit functions while delivering guest service at the front desk.
• Assist guests with check-ins and check-outs and process reservations.

• Count cash and maintain cash drawer accuracy at shift start and end.
• Greet, register, and assign rooms to guests.
• Prepare express checkout folios.
• Maintain room status inventory.
• Communicate shift information to Front Office Manager and staff.
• Maintain and clean lobby and bathrooms as needed.
• Collaborate with hotel departments to ensure quality service.
• Complete required shift paperwork and night audit reports.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

The Night Auditor is responsible for completing all nightly audit functions while delivering exceptional guest service at the hotel’s front desk. While performing audit duties, the Night Auditor also assists guests with check-ins and check-outs, processes reservations, and responds to guest inquiries, ensuring a high level of service throughout the overnight shift.

• Proactive thinking, keeping guest security always in mind, and creating a safe, clean, and friendly work environment.
• Responsible for counting cash and maintaining the accuracy of the issued cash drawer at the beginning and end of each scheduled shift.
• Check the front desk log for problems, special requests, etc.
• Greets, registers, and assigns rooms to guests.
• Process guest registrations, including collecting payment.
• Prepare express checkout folios.
• Maintain room status inventory.
• Communicate all pertinent shift information to Front Office Manager, General Manager, and other desk staff.
• Maintain and clean the lobby and bathroom as needed.
• Communicates all information to the following shift to ensure a smooth transition.
• Works closely with all hotel departments to ensure the highest quality of customer service.
• Answers inquiries pertaining to hotel services; registration of guests; and shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions. Explains in-room and hotel features.
• Responsible for completing all required shift paperwork, and night audit reports daily.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.
