Position Overview: Night Auditor

The Night Auditor maximizes revenue and adds value by delivering excellent customer service. Responsibilities include effective reservation sales, accurate handling of all guest accounts, and assisting with all aspects of the guest experience such as check-in, check-out, and problem resolution.

This role involves an overnight shift, typically from 10pm-6am or 11pm-7am.

Responsibilities
  • Understand and work with financial data and basic arithmetic.
  • Cross-train in other hotel-related or accounting areas.
  • Perform guest services such as check-in/out, reservations, and call handling.
  • Audit and reconcile financial and statistical reports.
  • Prepare and distribute daily and monthly reports per hotel standards.
  • Manage credit card transactions timely and accurately.
  • Prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Execute data processing system functions regularly.
  • Keep management informed of operational or financial issues.
  • Respond to governmental inquiries as needed.
Skills Required
  • Exceptional customer service skills, effective communication, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
  • Proficiency in keyboarding, MS Word, Excel, and hotel systems.
  • Aptitude for numbers and data analysis.
Experience and Education
  • Knowledge of accounting principles; hospitality/customer service experience preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
Physical Demands
  • Extended periods of walking, standing, and data entry; accommodations available for eligible employees.
