Position Summary: Audits, balances, and reports on various hotel areas (e.g., food and beverage, rooms, front desk, gift shop) to provide accurate and timely financial information on the hotel’s operational performance. Oversees front office/front desk operations during the overnight shift.

Essential Functions:

• Ensure all charges for billing are proper, supported, and with approved credit.
• Ensure account cards have complete and accurate information.
• Balance daily transfers to city ledger and update accounts receivable system.
• Assist in preparing correspondence for disputed accounts.
• Process payments received.
• Verify correct billing amounts.
• Familiarity with hotel front desk cashiering and accounts receivable procedures.
• Post charges, rebates, and cash to ledger accounts.
• Print agent and accounts receivable control reports.
• Compile monthly age analysis reports.
• Ensure timely billing of accounts.
• Maintain filing system for receivable records.
• Handle correspondence and queries regarding accounts.
• Assist in account reconciliation and resolve queries.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support team development.

Qualifications and Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in night auditing/accounting or equivalent training required.
• Knowledge of Excel and basic arithmetic skills required.
• FSD certification is a plus, required within 90 days of employment.

Physical Requirements:

• Lift files/papers up to 5 lbs. frequently; lift luggage up to 50 lbs.
• Stand, walk, use hands, reach with arms regularly.

Other Requirements:

• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English instructions.
• Basic math and computer skills, including Excel.
• Ability to follow checklists and written directions.
• Work graveyard shift with minimal supervision.
• Learn hotel services, facilities, and multi-line phone system.
• Courteous guest and phone etiquette.
• Multitasking and customer objection handling skills.
• Maintain professional appearance and positive attitude.
