Overview

The Front Desk Night Clerk will serve as an ambassador to the hotel, handling check-ins, check-outs, answering calls, and upholding Guest Service Standards. Responsibilities include nightly accounting and assisting housekeeping as a "Runner" during the midnight shift. The role involves computing, classifying, and recording financial data, verifying figures, and maintaining accurate records. The position may also include checking the accuracy of recorded business transactions.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Resolve guest complaints ensuring satisfaction.
• Maintain knowledge of hotel features, room types, rates, and daily operations.
• Monitor cleanliness and organization of work areas.
• Manage cash bank, process payments, and handle financial adjustments.
• Operate the Property Management System and maintain system security.
• Verify reports, audit charges, reconcile accounts, and run daily reports.
• Backup system files, close checks, and prepare end-of-day reports.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, restock printers, and document maintenance needs.
• Attend meetings and training sessions as required.

Education and Experience

• High School Graduate or GED.
• One year of experience in a similar hotel role.
• Availability to work overnight shift (11pm - 7am).
• Basic computer skills required.
