The Karol Hotel, a boutique Marriott Tribute Portfolio property in Clearwater, seeks a Night Auditor to cover overnight shifts. You will close all reporting functions for the day and act as the main guest contact during the night, ensuring personalized service aligned with Marriott standards.

Key duties include auditing shift closures, producing reports, reconciling house accounts, handling cash, and acting as system liaison while assisting with guest services and reservations as needed.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or higher.
  • Previous hospitality or administrative experience preferred.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Excellent computer/technology skills, ability to learn new software.

Responsibilities

  • Audit shift closing for all front office staff and complete an audit summary for each shift.
  • Produce accurate reports and handle all cash transactions.
  • Provide relief support to hotel PBX operator during shift.
  • Maintain and post a daily balance of all house accounts, including reconciliations and final reports to accounting.
  • Reconcile cashier's reports with the restaurant system each night and post unresolved tickets.
  • Balance and audit room revenue, food and beverage revenue, cashiers' reports, and guest and house accounts for accuracy; assist in daily revenue reports.
  • Ensure all banquet revenue is posted and receipts submitted for review.
  • Transmit credit card batches.
  • Complete and transmit daily management and accounting reports and supporting documents.
  • Act as hotel system liaison during night hours.
  • Perform all Guest Service Representative functions; may assist in bookings and guest communications.
  • Provide warm, friendly hospitality to guests; accurate cash handling.

The Karol Hotel is part of Marriott's Tribute Portfolio.

Job Summary

The Karol Hotel is a boutique hotel located in the Feather Sound area of Clearwater Florida, convenient to the beaches, St Pete, and Tampa. The Karol features 123 rooms and suites, and features Katch Restaurant and Vantage Rooftop Bar, along with ballrooms and conference rooms to host events. The Karol Hotel is part of Marriott's Tribute Portfolio. The Night Auditor covers the overnight shift and closes all reporting functions for the day. The Night Auditor serves as the main point of contact for guests during the overnight hours to ensure an exceptional personalized service to all guests that is consistent with Marriott's Tribute Portfolio standards.

Essential Functions
  • Follow all specified procedures to audit the shift closing of all front office staff, including personally closing shift three and completing an audit summary for each shift
  • Produce accurate and timely reports and correctly handle all cash transactions
  • Provide relief support to hotel PBX operator during shift
  • Follow all specified procedures to maintain and post a daily balance of all house accounts, including running preliminary reconciliations, detail transactions, and final reports to accounting and profit centers
  • Follow all specified procedures to reconcile cashier's reports with the restaurant system each night, researching and posting any unresolved tickets from the day shifts
  • Balance and audit room revenue, food and beverage revenue, cashiers' reports, and guest and house accounts for accuracy; assisting the preparation of all reports relevant to daily revenues
  • Ensure all banquet revenue is posted and receipts submitted to accounting for review
  • Transmit credit card batches
  • Complete and transmit daily management and accounting reports and supporting documents
  • Act as hotel system liaison during night hours
  • Perform all Guest Service Representative functions as required; may assist in booking room reservations, answering hotel phone calls, and notifying guests of messages
  • Provide warm, friendly hospitality to guests
