Job summary

Canopy Midtown Atlanta is seeking a Night Auditor (Part-Time) to manage nightly audit functions and deliver exceptional guest service at the front desk. You will assist guests with check-ins/check-outs, process reservations, and respond to inquiries, ensuring a high level of service during the overnight shift.

Responsibilities include cash handling, express checkouts, room status updates, shift communication, and collaboration with Front Office and other departments to maintain service quality.

• Prepare express checkouts and maintain room status inventory.
• Communicate shift details to Front Office Manager and other desk staff; ensure smooth handoffs.
• Keep lobby and bathroom areas clean; assist other hotel departments to deliver high-quality service.
• Answer guest inquiries about services, directions, and local amenities; explain in-room features.
• Complete all required shift paperwork and night audit reports; perform other duties as assigned.

Description

The Night Auditor (Part-Time) is responsible for completing all nightly audit functions while delivering exceptional guest service at the hotel’s front desk. While performing audit duties, the Night Auditor also assists guests with check-ins and check-outs, processes reservations, and responds to guest inquiries, ensuring a high level of service throughout the overnight shift.

• Proactive thinking, keeping guest security always in mind, and creating a safe, clean, and friendly work environment.
• Responsible for counting cash and maintaining the accuracy of the issued cash drawer at the beginning and end of each scheduled shift.
• Check the front desk log for problems, special requests, etc.
• Greets, registers, and assigns rooms to guests.
• Process guest registrations, including collecting payment.
• Prepare express checkout folios.
• Maintain room status inventory.
• Communicate all pertinent shift information to Front Office Manager, General Manager, and other desk staff.
• Maintain and clean the lobby and bathroom as needed.
• Communicates all information to the following shift to ensure a smooth transition.
• Works closely with all hotel departments to ensure the highest quality of customer service.
• Answers inquiries pertaining to hotel services; registration of guests; and shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions. Explains in-room and hotel features.
• Responsible for completing all required shift paperwork, and night audit reports daily.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.
