Job summary

Homewood Suites Prattville is seeking a Night Auditor to perform nightly audit functions while delivering exceptional guest service at the front desk. You will assist guests with check-ins/check-outs, process reservations, and respond to inquiries to ensure a smooth overnight operation.

This role requires proactive thinking, cash drawer accuracy, and coordination with Front Office management. The position includes benefits and a team-focused environment at the Prattville property.

Qualifications

• Experience with cash handling and guest service is preferred.
• Overnight/front desk experience is a plus.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities are essential.

Responsibilities

• Complete nightly audit functions and ensure accuracy of cash drawer at shift start and end.
• Greet, register, and assign rooms to guests; assist with check-ins/check-outs.
• Process guest registrations and collect payments; prepare express checkout folios.
• Maintain room status inventory and lobby cleanliness as needed.
• Communicate shift information to the next team and hotel departments.
• Provide information on hotel services and directions to guests.

Description

The Night Auditor is responsible for completing all nightly audit functions while delivering exceptional guest service at the hotel’s front desk. While performing audit duties, the Night Auditor also assists guests with check-ins and check-outs, processes reservations, and responds to guest inquiries, ensuring a high level of service throughout the overnight shift.

• Proactive thinking, keeping guest security always in mind, and creating a safe, clean, and friendly work environment.
• Responsible for counting cash and maintaining the accuracy of the issued cash drawer at the beginning and end of each scheduled shift.
• Check the front desk log for problems, special requests, etc.
• Greets, registers, and assigns rooms to guests.
• Process guest registrations, including collecting payment.
• Prepare express checkout folios.
• Maintain room status inventory.
• Communicate all pertinent shift information to Front Office Manager, General Manager, and other desk staff.
• Maintain and clean the lobby and bathroom as needed.
• Communicates all information to the following shift to ensure a smooth transition.
• Works closely with all hotel departments to ensure the highest quality of customer service.
• Answers inquiries pertaining to hotel services; registration of guests; and shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions. Explains in-room and hotel features.
• Responsible for completing all required shift paperwork, and night audit reports daily.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.
