Job description

The Night Auditor is responsible for overseeing hotel operations during the overnight shift. This role combines front desk duties with accounting responsibilities to ensure a smooth transition between business days. The Night Auditor provides exceptional guest service, balances daily financial transactions, and prepares reports for management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet, check in, and check out guests in a professional and efficient manner.
• Verify and balance daily room charges, cash, credit card, and other transactions.
• Prepare and distribute daily audit reports to management.
• Monitor hotel safety and security during overnight hours.
• Respond to guest inquiries, complaints, and requests promptly and courteously.
• Reconcile front desk cash drawers and ensure accurate financial records.
• Process reservations, cancellations, and wake-up calls.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the lobby and front desk area.
• Assist with any emergency situations or after-hours needs.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:

• Flexible and long hours sometimes required
• Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds
• Ability to hear, understand and communicate orally and in writing to communicate with staff, vendors, and guests a normal in-person and phone conversation
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
• Ability to bend and twist, push and pull, stoop, and kneel
