Job summary

The Woodlands is seeking a Night Attendant for a full-time night shift (9pm-7am), totaling 40 hours per week, to provide safety, housekeeping, and general support within a senior living community.

Responsibilities include responding to emergencies, securing doors, monitoring cameras, assisting with activities, and performing light maintenance tasks as needed. Benefits are offered, and prior experience with seniors is preferred.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be a team player with a positive attitude.
• Must be flexible and willing to perform all requested duties.
• Experience working with a senior population is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Responding to emergency calls.
• Communicating with emergency services in a calm and clear tone.
• Check all doors and windows on the garage level and 1st floor level to ensure they are locked.
• Check interior doors on floors 1-4 to ensure they are locked.
• Monitoring cameras and door lock system.
• Rearranging furniture after activities, events or functions.
• Dimming and turning off lights not needed.
• Vacuuming lobby area and hallway between fitness center and staff area.
• Distribution of newspapers and notes for changes.
• Picking up recycling bins and transferring to recycling dumpster.
• General maintenance and housekeeping tasks.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Manager, Supervisor, or Administrator.

Responsibilities including, but not limited to:

• Responding to emergency calls
• Communicating with emergency services in a calm and clear tone
• Check all doors and windows on the garage level and 1st floor level to ensure they are locked
• Check the following interior doors to ensure they are locked: executive office, accounting office, Fine Dining office, IT Room, kitchen, pool, salon, marketing director, executive director, activities, housekeeping closets on floors 1 - 4, communications closets on floors 1 - 4, garage level resident storage and maintenance shop
• Monitoring cameras and door lock system
• Rearranging furniture after activities, events or functions
• Dimming and turning off lights that are not needed
• Vacuuming lobby area and hallway between fitness center and the door leading to the staff area
• Distribution of newspapers, including checking in-house list vs. bundle report and leaving notes for the newspaper coordinator about changes or issues that occur
• Picking up recycling bins from recycling room on all floors and transferring to recycling dumpster in garage
• General maintenance and housekeeping tasks
• Performs other duties as assigned by Manager, Supervisor, or Administrator

Physical Demands

• Ability to stand for long periods of time, stoop, bend, twist, reach and lift up to 30lbs
