Job summary

Utz Quality Foods, Inc in Goodyear, AZ is seeking a Processing Operator for the 3rd shift to operate tortilla chip production lines and monitor equipment. You will work Monday to Friday, 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with some Saturdays as needed, and collaborate with the QA team to uphold product quality.

The role involves lifting up to 70 lbs, following strict safety and food quality standards, and keeping detailed production records.

Qualifications

• Ability to work Monday to Friday 11 PM–7 AM.
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
• Experience with safety and food quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor extruders, sheeters, mixers, and/or other processing equipment used to produce tortilla chips.
• Keep production running smoothly by monitoring equipment and making adjustments as needed.
• Partner with the Quality Assurance team to complete quality checks and ensure products meet our standards.
• Retrieve, stage, and prepare raw materials needed for production.
• Accurately complete production logs, records, and component usage entries.
• Clean and sanitize processing equipment according to established procedures and sanitation schedules.
• Communicate with processing and packaging team members to maintain a consistent production flow.
• Help train and support new or less experienced team members.
• Follow all safety, food safety, and quality procedures and report concerns when identified.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and participate in daily housekeeping and sanitation.
• Operate forklifts and high-reach equipment as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the team and production needs.
