Job summary

Lurie Children’s Hospital is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to support the NICU at Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox. You will evaluate and treat pediatric patients, develop and adjust individualized plans of care, and collaborate with families and the care team.

This as-needed role requires CCC-SLP within 90 days, Illinois licensure eligibility, and CPR certification. A Bachelor’s degree is required and the pay range is competitive for Illinois hospitals.

Qualifications

• Successful graduation from an accredited Speech-Language pathology program.
• Current License or eligibility and submission for license in the State of Illinois.
• ASHA CCC-SLP Certification within first 90 days of start.
• CPR certification from the American Heart Association (BLS/AED Heartsaver).

Responsibilities

• Evaluates patients for speech-language pathology needs and follows clinical pathways.
• Establishes age-appropriate plan of care and goals based on evaluation.
• Re-evaluates treatment and updates the care plan as needed.
• Educates patients, families and caregivers on goals and treatments.
• Collaborates with families, physicians and rehab staff to coordinate care.
• Maintains required departmental productivity standards.
