Job summary

Edward Elmhurst Health is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist for the Inpatient Neonatal department at Evanston Hospital. This per diem role primarily involves assessments and interventions for infants in the Level III NICU, focusing on feeding readiness and communication development.

The ideal candidate will possess a Master's degree in Speech Pathology, relevant licensure in Illinois, and experience working with preterm infants. Flexible hours are available based on patient needs, and various employee benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist in Illinois.
• Minimum two years of relevant experience with preterm or complex infants.
• Relevant certifications and VSS experience with NICU infants.

Responsibilities

• Assess oral feeding readiness and swallowing function for NICU infants.
• Support and implement individualized feeding plans with collaboration.
• Educate and empower caregivers on feeding techniques and bonding.
