Job summary

Mission Hospital in Asheville, North Carolina is seeking a Neonatal ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to provide leadership and deliver professional nursing care for neonatal patients. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care, supervise staff, and educate patients and families to ensure high-quality outcomes.

The role includes overseeing a patient-care team based on acuity, delivering direct nursing care, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to meet patient needs and safety

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Neonate Resuscitate must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• (RN) Registered Nurse
• Bachelors Degree, or Associate Degree

Responsibilities

• Oversee the delivery of patient care for a group of patients and direct patient care based on patient acuity and staff availability
• Provide direct patient care, evaluate outcomes and adjust nursing care processes indicated to adhere to legal, ethical and competency level of staff
• Formulate plan of care based on patient assessment and identified needs
• Plan, anticipate, prioritize and monitor delivery of care through critical reasoning based on patients need, response and progress
• Collaborate and consult with patients, colleagues and interdisciplinary team members
• Document and report data, patient response and progress
• Provide education for self, staff, colleagues, patients and/or families

Education
