Job summary

Mission Hospital in Asheville is seeking a Neonatal ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to lead and deliver high‑quality care for critically ill newborns. You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care while guiding staff and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team.

Qualified candidates hold an RN license, and have a BLS and NRP within required timeframes. A Bachelor’s or Associate degree is expected. No travel required.

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of start date.
• Neonate Resuscitation (NRP) within 90 days of start date.
• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in good standing.
• Bachelor's or Associate degree in nursing.

Responsibilities

• Oversee delivery of patient care for NICU patients based on acuity and staff.
• Provide direct patient care, evaluate outcomes and adjust care.
• Formulate and monitor care plans based on assessments.
• Plan and prioritize delivery of care through critical reasoning.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to achieve outcomes.
• Document patient data, responses and progress.
• Educate patients, families and staff.
