Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare Tomball is seeking a Registered Nurse (PRN) to provide individualized, age-specific care for neonates and infants. The RN develops and evaluates plans of care, delegates tasks, and ensures care aligns with Texas Nurse Practice Act and hospital policy.

The role includes conducting comprehensive assessments, formulating care plans, teaching patients, and coordinating care across a team to promote health and recovery.

Qualifications

• BLS within 30 days of employment start date.
• Neonate Resuscitation within 30 days of employment start date.
• RN (Registered Nurse)
• Associate Degree in nursing
• 1 year of acute care hospital experience; NICU preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive nursing assessments of health status of patients.
• Formulates a nursing care plan based on nursing diagnoses.
• Implements nursing care within the RN's scope of practice.
• Develops and implements teaching plans for patients concerning promotion, maintenance and restoration of health.
• Provides care for multiple patients either through direct care or delegation to other team members.
• Utilizes critical thinking in all nursing activities.
• Participates in continuing education and in-service training.
