Qualified candidates will have 1 year of NICU experience, California RN license, and BLS/NRP certifications. The unit requires weekend coverage and cross-training in related Perinatal areas.

Qualifications

• 1-year recent (within the last 3 years) full-time equivalent experience in Level III NICU or successful completion of KP Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) course or approved equivalent within prior 12 months.

Responsabilités

• Leads and delivers professional nursing care using the nursing process per established standards and policies.
• Mentors and collaborates with the health care team to ensure patient safety and quality care.
• Coordinates with physicians and staff to develop and adjust patient plans of care.
• Ensures accurate documentation of nursing interventions and patient progress.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and a respectful, compassionate care environment.
• Ensures discharge planning and patient/family education are addressed in collaboration with the care team.
