Job summary

University Health KC Lakewood NICU is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the night shift in Kansas City, MO. This part-time role (24 hours/week) involves providing high-quality neonatal care to critically ill newborns in a collaborative NICU team.

Responsibilities include patient assessment, planning and delegating care, interdisciplinary collaboration, and participation in education and research initiatives. Missouri RN license and BCLS required; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• Current state of Missouri license as a Registered Nurse.
• Current BCLS certification.
• If applying for a PRN position: At least one year of medical/surgical experience OR one year of prior experience in the specialty area.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients based on their diagnosis and care needs.
• Plan, perform, delegate, and evaluate nursing care using your expert skills.
• Work closely with an interdisciplinary team to ensure the best patient outcomes.
• Participate in committees, program evaluations, research, and education.
• Supervise and mentor students.
• Stay compliant with the Missouri Nurse Practice Act and all organizational and regulatory requirements.
