Job summary

University Health's Lakewood Medical Center in Kansas City seeks a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join the NICU team. This full-time night shift (6:45 PM–7:15 AM) involves caring for patients with acute or chronic conditions and mentoring students.

You'll work with an interdisciplinary team to plan, perform, and evaluate nursing care, while staying compliant with Missouri Nurse Practice Act and organizational standards. This role offers growth and education opportunities.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• Current state of Missouri license as a Registered Nurse.
• Current BCLS certification.
• BSN or equivalent preferred
• RN Specialty Certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Assess patients based on diagnosis and care needs.
• Plan, perform, delegate, and evaluate nursing care with expert skills.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Participate in committees, program evaluations, research, and education.
• Supervise and mentor students.
• Stay compliant with Missouri Nurse Practice Act and organizational requirements.
