Job summary

The Hospital of Central Connecticut in New Britain, CT is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit to deliver specialized care to premature and sick newborns, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to create comprehensive care plans.

The role emphasizes evidence-based practice, family-centered communication, and cultural sensitivity, with opportunities to precept and support the unit during night shifts.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Associate's degree in Nursing required.
• One year RN experience with at least 1000 clinical hours.
• CT RN license and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Develop a plan of care for complex neonatal patients.
• Use evidence-based practices per Nurse Practice Act.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to meet needs.
• Provide care for a full patient assignment with growing responsibilities.
• Communicate effectively with families and team members.
• Demonstrate cultural sensitivity in all interactions.
• Act as preceptor and charge nurse when needed.
• Manage multiple clinical priorities.
