Job summary

Boston Medical Center (BMC) is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Neonatal ICU (NICU) at our Boston campus. This 36-hour day/night rotation position offers an opportunity to provide high-level, evidence-based care to Level II & III newborns in a supportive environment. The position requires a valid RN license in Massachusetts, NICU experience, and certifications in BLS and ACLS. Qualifications

  • Licensed to practice professional nursing as a registered nurse in Massachusetts.
  • 9 months of NICU Level III RN experience highly preferred.
  • Certification in basic life support (BLS).
  • Advanced Cardiac Life support (ACLS) certification required in certain units.
  • Ability to obtain a BSN within 4 years.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver nursing care in the NICU Department, including assessing and diagnosing patients.
  • Communicate with health care team members, patients, and their families.
  • Update and manage patient records.
  • Assist the leadership team in quality improvement projects.

Skills

Effective verbal and written communication skills
Basic computer proficiency
Fluency in another language

Education

Diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred)
