Job summary

Viper Staffing Services L.L.C. in Seattle, WA is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The role provides comprehensive, compassionate care to critically ill newborns and families while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• RN licensure with valid NRP and BLS certifications.
• 3+ years in NICU or pediatric critical care settings; Level I/II trauma centers preferred.
• Experience with EMR/EHR systems (Cerner/Athenahealth/Epic) is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to neonates in the NICU with assessments and monitoring.
• Administer medications, including IV infusions and injections, following aseptic techniques.
• Operate and monitor ventilators and neonatal monitors to stabilize patients.
• Perform neonatal resuscitation and manage emergencies including pain and airway care.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for diagnostics, labs, and imaging.
• Document patient care in EHR systems in compliance with HIPAA.
• Educate families on neonatal care, discharge plans, and developmental support.
• Engage in quality improvement and infection control initiatives per NCQA standards.
• Assist in procedures such as catheterization, suturing, or tube feeding when needed.
• Support long-term care planning post-discharge.
