Job summary

UCSF Health seeks an experienced RN to provide nursing care in a Level III NICU, focusing on extreme low birth weight infants and neonates with complex congenital conditions. You will participate in interdisciplinary teams and execute established nursing procedures with guidance as needed.

Applicants must have at least two years of recent NICU RN experience, California RN licensure, and CPR/NRP certifications. BSN preferred; willingness to orient across UCSF Medical Center locations is required.

Qualifications

• This position requires a minimum of two years of recent clinical RN experience in a Level III NICU with a surgical patient population.
• Proficiency in caring for extreme low birth weight neonates and congenital anomalies such as Pre-Operative CHD.
• Flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation to provide safe, therapeutic care.
• Functions as a member of interdisciplinary and nursing teams and carries out established nursing procedures.
• Assists with management of patient care administered by other members of the nursing team.
