Job summary

UCSF Health is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for its Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Nursery. The role emphasizes thorough nursing assessment, care planning, and coordinated interdisciplinary collaboration to meet complex neonatal needs.

The position requires CA RN licensure, CPR and NRP certifications, and flexibility to orient across UCSF Medical Center locations. BSN is preferred, with prior NICU experience strongly favored.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of recent clinical RN experience in a level III Intensive Care Nursery with a surgical patient population.
• Proficiency in providing care for extreme low birth weight infants and neonates with congenital anomalies such as Pre-Operative Congenital Heart Disease.
• Position may require orientation to multiple UCSF Medical Center locations.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide safe, therapeutic care.
• Functions as a member of the interdisciplinary and nursing teams; carries out established nursing procedures and performs related duties.
• Assists with the management of patient care administered by other members of the nursing team.
