Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Nurse Aide for the NICU at 35125 Aurora West Allis Medical Center in Wisconsin. The role is full-time (36 hours per week) with census-driven on-call responsibilities, including every third weekend and rotating holidays.

Qualified candidates will have RN experience and basic computer skills to document in the EMR, handle patient care tasks under RN supervision, and participate in admissions, discharges, and transfers as needed.

Qualifications

• RN experience is required and new grads are not accepted.
• Basic computer skills are required.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills are necessary.
• Strong organizational and prioritization abilities.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to adapt to interruptions.

Responsibilities

• Assist in daily patient care including bathing, feeding and mobility under RN supervision.
• Document vital signs and intake/output in the EMR.
• Support admission, transfer, and discharge processes under supervision.
• Perform patient positioning and transport duties with proper technique.
• Assist with dietary needs and skin care; ensure required supplies are available.
• Coordinate tests and treatments with other departments as needed.
• Maintain infection prevention practices and proper use of PPE.
• Ensure effective communication with family and care team.
