Job summary

CHS Career Site is seeking a dedicated NICU Registered Nurse for a part-time night shift at the Fort Wayne facility. The RN will provide patient-centered care in a Level 3 NICU, coordinate with the team, and progress toward transports after a year of NICU experience, with training rooted in experience.

Position includes a $12,500 sign-on bonus, 401(k) with matching, student loan repayment up to $10,000, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years clinical nursing experience or student rotations in acute care.
• Ability to perform thorough patient assessments and document findings.
• Proficient in administering medications and monitoring for side effects.
• Knowledge of infection control and safety standards.
• Strong communication with interdisciplinary care teams.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care per nursing process.
• Documents findings accurately and reports changes to the care team.
• Administers prescribed medications and monitors for side effects.
• Assists physicians during procedures within competency scope.
• Collaborates to develop, implement, and evaluate care plans.
• Responds to emergencies and participates in life-saving interventions.
• Educates patients and families on conditions and post-discharge care.
