Job summary

Dupont Hospital, part of Lutheran Health Network, seeks a Registered Nurse for our NICU in Fort Wayne. The RN provides patient-centered care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.

Training will progress to Transports after Level 3 NICU experience; schedule is Full Time .9 FTE, 7p-7a with some weekends and call. The department features private rooms, Level III NICU capabilities, and a commitment to exceptional patient care.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers patient-centered care in accordance with policies and nursing process.
• Performs thorough patient assessments and documents findings.
• Administers medications and monitors for side effects.
• Assists physicians during procedures within competency.
• Collaborates to develop and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Responds to medical emergencies and participates in CPR and code team activities.
• Educates patients and families on conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care.
• Maintains infection control and safety standards.
