Job summary

Lutheran Health Network in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking a NICU RN for part-time night shifts (3p-3a). The role involves high-quality, patient-centered care in the NICU with ongoing training to perform transports after a year of Level 3 NICU experience.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting required
• Indiana RN licensure (or compact) and BCLS certification required
• NICU experience preferred but not required; willingness to train for transports

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered NICU care per nursing process
• Assess patients, document findings, and report changes to care team
• Administer medications, monitor effects, and document accurately
• Assist physicians during procedures within competency scope
• Collaborate to develop and evaluate individualized care plans
• Respond to emergencies and participate in life-saving interventions
• Educate patients and families on conditions, plans, and post-discharge care
