Job summary

Essentia Health's St Marys Medical Center in Duluth, MN is seeking a Birthplace RN to provide comprehensive nursing care across assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. You will coordinate lactation education and support, and participate in helicopter/ambulance transport duties as needed for NICU transfers in the region.

The role requires a BSN or ADN, unencumbered RN licensure, and certifications (BCLS, NRP, PALS).

Qualifications

• Current nursing licensure in state(s) of employment
• BCLS certification within one month
• NRP certification within one year
• PALS certification within one year
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Minimum of 6 months RN experience in postpartum/couplet care or labor & delivery with >1,200 deliveries/year
• Over 1,248 hours in Labor & Delivery/Postpartum in related roles

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive care that is holistic and patient-centered
• Exercise professional autonomy in nursing practice
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to assess concerns and integrate data
