Job summary

Essentia Health is seeking a Birthplace RN at SMMC in Duluth, MN. You will provide comprehensive nursing care across assessment, planning, and evaluation, and coordinate lactation education within the nursing division.

The role requires RN licensure in applicable states, BCLS, NRP, and PALS with specific timelines. A 0.75 FTE shift rotation includes Day/Night shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Current nursing licensure in state(s) of employment
• BCLS certification within one month
• NRP certification within one year
• PALS certification within one year
• Minimum 6 months RN experience in postpartum/labor and delivery with high-volume births

Responsibilities

• Deliver Comprehensive Care: Provide nursing care that is holistic and patient-centered.
• Exercise Professional Autonomy: Make informed decisions to promote quality care.
• Collaborate with Healthcare Teams: Work with multidisciplinary teams to assess concerns and integrate data.
• Implement and Evaluate Care Plans: Develop and adjust care plans and evaluate patient outcomes.
