Job summary

Montage Health in Monterey, CA is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to plan, direct, assess and provide nursing care under hospital and department policies. The RN will orient new staff, precept students, and may assume relief charge nurse duties.

The Staff RN will handle well-baby, nursery, NICU level 1 and 2 care, attend deliveries, initiate resuscitation as needed, and stabilize for transfer to higher care. The role may float to postpartum care as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
• California RN license required.
• BLS and NRP certifications required.
• STABLE required for hires after 2025; current staff by 2026.
• PALS and ENPC preferred.
• Minimum 2 years acute care NICU experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, assess and provide nursing care per hospital policy.
• Orient new staff, precept students, and assume relief charge nurse duties.
• Provide medications and treatments, assist physicians, monitor patient condition.
• Float to FBC for postpartum maternal/infant care as needed.
