Job summary

TriHealth Bethesda North Hospital in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at a Level III NICU. You will deliver family-centered care to critically ill and premature newborns, collaborating with neonatologists, APNs, respiratory therapists and the care team to manage complex medical needs.

Flexible scheduling and opportunities to grow in neonatal intensive care, with support for ongoing education and certification in the NICU.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or Diploma in Nursing.
• New hires required to obtain BSN within 5 years of hire.
• NICU Experience (preferred) includes BLS/CPR, RN licensure, and nursing knowledge for neonatal care.

Responsibilities

• Performs initial and ongoing assessment of patient and family. Documents assessment findings and communicates with the care team.
• Plans care for patient and family with discharge planning and short-/long-term goals.
• Maintains a safe, therapeutic environment, supports family needs, and follows physician orders.
• Evaluates plan of care and revises as needed in collaboration with the health care team.
• Performs technical skills, safely administers medications/treatments, and uses equipment according to policy.
