Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System is hiring a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit RN in Ohio for a full-time, rotating-shift position.

The NICU at Mount Carmel St. Ann’s is a Level III 23-bed unit; we care for all gestations and collaborate with subspecialty teams.

The RN will deliver patient-centered care, administer medications, educate families, document care, and work with a dedicated team to improve outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• BSN preferred.
• Current Ohio RN license.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• Experience in NICU setting is preferred.
• Proficiency with EMR documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patient care for an assigned group of patients; assist with examinations and treatments.
• Administer medications under provider direction and organizational guidelines.
• Assist in emergency situations as directed by the provider.
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, procedures and care.
• Document assessments, interventions and outcomes accurately in the medical record.
• Collaborate with the care team and supervise other staff as appropriate.
