Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Akron General is seeking a Registered Nurse for our NICU to deliver exceptional neonatal care in a Level III setting. You will work nights, providing direct nursing care from admission through discharge, and collaborate with a full care team to ensure high-quality outcomes.

You will assess patient conditions, plan and implement individualized care, and educate families while ensuring safety and adherence to care standards.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required in the state
• BLS certification via AHA or Red Cross
• ACLS certification within one year of hire
• NRP within six months of hire

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to NICU patients
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for the patient population
• Complete ongoing assessments and respond to changes in condition
• Develop care goals with patients and families and coordinate the plan of care
• Administer treatments and medications and document
• Participate in interdisciplinary evaluation of outcomes and quality improvement
• Delegate tasks and mentor staff; maintain licensure and certifications
• Complete admission assessments for maternal/infant patients and ensure safety measures
