Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner to deliver direct patient care under physician orders, consult on therapy effectiveness, and serve as an advanced resource for the care team. You will collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to optimize patient outcomes in a compassionate environment.

Qualifications include a CoARC-approved Respiratory Care program, current RCP license, NBRC-registered RRT credential, and PALS for ER responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of CoARC approved Respiratory Care program.
• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential NBRC.
• PALS required for ER work.
• ACLS preferred.
• No prior experience required; training provided.
• Physical demands: lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs; kneel/crouch/crawl.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care per physician orders.
• Consults physicians on effectiveness of therapy.
• Acts as an advanced resource person for physicians and nursing on respiratory care.
• Performs duties as assigned.
