Job summary

Mercy in Oklahoma is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to deliver direct patient care in line with physician orders, collaborating with physicians to assess and adjust therapy.

The role emphasizes acting as a resource to the medical team, supporting critical care patients as needed, and maintaining certifications including NBRC RRT; ACLS preferred. A sign-on bonus is available and Mercy offers day-one benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate of CoARC approved Respiratory Care program.
• Current state RCP license.
• NBRC RRT credential; PALS for ER when applicable.
• Physically able: push, pull, grip up to 50 lbs; kneel, crouch, crawl.
• ACLS certification preferred.
• Critical care experience preferred.

Qualifications:

• Education: Graduate of CoArc approved Respiratory Care program.
• Licensure: Meets state licensure requirements and has a current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• Certifications: Hold the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential awarded by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). For co-workers who work in the Emergency Room PALS is required.
• Other: Physical demands are attached plus push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs. Plus, pinch up to 10 lbs., kneel, crouch, and crawl minimally.
• Equipment Used: All appropriate respiratory care devices.
• Preferred Education: Acute Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Preferred Experience: Critical care experience.
