Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to perform direct patient care in respiratory therapy as ordered by physicians. You will consult on therapy effectiveness and serve as an advanced resource for clinicians.

Requirements include a CoARC-approved Respiratory Care program, an active RCP license, and the NBRC RRT credential. PALS may be required in ER settings; ACLS is preferred. Benefits and a $10,000 sign-on bonus are offered.

Qualifications

• Graduate of CoArc approved Respiratory Care program.
• Meets state licensure requirements and has a current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• Experience: None.
• Holds the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential (NBRC).
• For ER coworkers, PALS is required.
• Physical demands include push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs; pinch up to 10 lbs; kneel, crouch, crawl as needed.

Responsibilities

• Consults physicians on the effectiveness of therapy.
• Acts as an advanced resource person for physicians and nursing staff in respiratory care.

Plus, pinch up to 10 lbs., kneel, crouch, and crawl minimally. Equipment Used: All appropriate respiratory care devices.
