Henrico Doctors' Hospital is seeking an NICU Registered Nurse to provide clinical nursing care for neonates and infants in the NICU, performing assessments, interventions and family teaching in line with policy. You will recognize developmental stages and support the infant's outcome while participating in a hardworking, compassionate team.

Qualifications include BSN preferred, current Virginia RN license (or compact), current BLS, and at least two years NICU experience; strong communication

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with RN license.
• BSN preferred and Virginia or compact RN license.
• Current BLS certification and NICU experience.
• Two years NICU RN experience required.

Job Summary And Qualifications

At Henrico Doctors’ Hospital, our NICU Registered Nurse is responsible for performing clinical nursing duties for neonates and infants according to policy and procedures. In addition to performing neonatal assessments and providing appropriate interventions, you will also recognize developmental stages of neonates and infants and provide appropriate support to maximize the infant’s developmental outcome. We are an amazing, hardworking team who is looking for a phenomenal addition like you!

• You will recognize and respond promptly and appropriately to acute changes in neonate/infant’s condition as well as responding appropriately to emergency situations in the NICU and other hospital departments
• Our staff is expected to demonstrate knowledge of pathophysiology for common neonatal disorders
• As a NICU RN, you will provide support and teaching to the family unit
• You must communicate effectively with all members of the health care team utilizing verbal and written skills

What qualifications you will need:

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred)
• Current Registered Nurse license in Virginia or a compact license
• Current BLS certification
• At least two years of NICU RN experience is required
