Job summary

The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Inc. (BIDMC) is seeking a per diem Registered Nurse for the NICU/Special Care Nursery.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program required.
• Baccalaureate degree in Nursing strongly preferred.
• 1-3 years related work experience required.
• License Registered Nurse required. American Heart Association – Basic Life support Certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct care to patients and makes necessary nursing judgments.
• Assesses health care needs and formulates, implements, and evaluates a care plan.
• Collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to provide patient-centered care.
• Maintains patient safety and advocates for patients and families.
• Performs duties in a collegial, respectful, and professional manner.
