Job summary

Ascension in Cedar Park, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse for NICU to provide direct patient care and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality outcomes. The role emphasizes accurate EHR documentation, care coordination, and discharge planning to support safe transitions for newborns and families.

The position requires a nursing diploma, RN licensure, and BLS; Neonatal Resuscitation and STABLE certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required.
• BLS Provider credential within 1 month of hire date.
• Registered Nurse license required prior to hire.
• ACSP Neonatal Resuscitation (AAP) preferred.
• S.T.A.B.L.E. Program certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver RN patient care following clinical protocols for safe, high-quality outcomes.
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team to support seamless care and patient-centered outcomes.
• Document accurately in the EHR to ensure compliance and drive quality improvement.
• Assess patient conditions, implement care plans, and support discharge planning for safe transitions.
