Job summary

Prime Healthcare Services is seeking a Part Time Registered Nurse at Southern Regional Medical Center in Riverdale, GA. The shift is Days, 7am to 7pm. The RN will deliver safe patient care using the nursing process and may work with neonates in NICU under the chain of command.

The ideal candidate holds a current state RN license with BLS certification; NRP certification within 30 days of hire is preferred. At least one year in acute care, with nursery or NICU exposure, is desired.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• BLS (AHA) certificate required on hire and maintained.
• NRP (AHA) certificate within 30 days of hire and maintained.
• One year experience in an acute care setting with nursery or NICU exposure preferred.

Responsibilities

• The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing.
• Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.
• Provides for a safe environment for patients and visitors.
• Utilizes the chain of command when necessary to ensure patient well-being and appropriateness of care to neonates from post delivery stabilization through discharge.
• NICU- Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice with assistance to neonates.
