Job summary

Prime Healthcare Services at Southern Regional Medical Center in Riverdale, GA is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver safe patient care using the nursing process from assessment through evaluation. You will provide direct patient care in the Medical/Surgical Unit, guide patient and family teaching, and coordinate with physicians on changes in clinical condition and test results.

This full-time, days shift role offers comprehensive benefits; BSN preferred and active BLS/ACLS certifications

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license in GA.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator management experience preferred.
• BSN degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice.
• Directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care within the Medical/Surgical Unit.
• Directly responsible and accountable for the care given to assigned patients.
• Communicates with physician about changes in patient condition including monitoring and diagnostic results.
• Responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.

Location: Southern Regional Medical Center - Riverdale, GA

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice.
• The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care within the Medical/Surgical Unit.
• The Registered Nurse is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to his/her assigned patients.
• He / She communicates with physician about changes in the patient’s clinical condition including cardiac monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.
• Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current preferred.
• Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator Management experience preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
