Job summary

Southern Regional Medical Center in Riverdale, GA is seeking a Float Pool Registered Nurse to deliver safe patient care using the nursing process. This full-time role involves night shifts with 12-hour hours in a Medical/Surgical unit.

You will collaborate with physicians and nursing staff, ensuring timely communication of changes in patient condition and adherence to care plans. BSN-preferred, ACLS/BLS certifications preferred or required upon hire.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ACLS certificate within 30 days upon hire and maintain current (preferred).
• Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator management experience preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• The Registered Nurse directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care within the Medical/Surgical Unit.
• The Registered Nurse is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to his/her assigned patients.
• He/She communicates with physician about changes in the patient's clinical condition including cardiac monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.
• Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.
