Job summary

Prime Healthcare is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care at Southern Regional Medical Center in Riverdale, GA. The role involves nights, 12-hour shifts, and full-time employment, delivering safe nursing care across the Medical/Surgical Unit.

Requirements include an active Georgia RN license, BLS, and ACLS within 30 days (ACLS preferred). BSN preferred with ventilator management experience highly regarded.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of Georgia.
• BLS certification required at hire and maintained.
• ACLS certification preferred within 30 days of hire and maintained.
• Acute care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice.
• Direct and guide patient and family teaching and activities of other nursing staff while maintaining standards of care.
• Be responsible and accountable for care provided to assigned patients.
• Communicate with physicians about changes in patient condition, diagnostic results, and symptoms.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and treatment responses.

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities :

• Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice.
• The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care within the Medical/Surgical Unit.
• The Registered Nurse is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to his/her assigned patients.
• He / She communicates with physician about changes in the patient's clinical condition including cardiac monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.
• Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1. Current and valid state RN License.2. Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.3. Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current preferred.4. Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.5. Ventilator Management experience preferred.6. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
