Southern Regional Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for the night shift to deliver safe patient care using the nursing process. The role emphasizes teaching, rapid response to changes, and maintaining a safe environment through the NICU and nursery care continuum.

Ideal candidates hold an active RN license, BLS, NRP within required timelines, and at least one year in an acute care setting with nursery or NICU exposure.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• Current BLS (AHA) certification upon hire and maintain current.
• NRP (AHA) certification 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• One year experience in acute care with nursery or NICU experience.
• BSN preferred.

Responsabilités

• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and treatment.
• Provide a safe environment for patients and visitors.
• Follow chain of command to ensure patient well-being and appropriate care through discharge.
• Provide direct NICU/nursery patient care within scope of practice.

Employment Type: Full Time

Hours: 7pm to 7am

Location: Southern Regional Medical Center - Riverdale, GA

Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.

Responsibilities

• The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing.
• Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.
• Provides for a safe environment for patients and visitors.
• Utilizes the chain of command when necessary to ensure patient well-being and appropriateness of care to neonates from post delivery stabilization through discharge.
• NICU- Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice with assistance to neonates.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• NRP (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• One year experience in an acute care setting with experience in nursery or NICU environment.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
