Mercy in Guthrie, OK is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care, following physician orders. You will consult with physicians on therapy effectiveness and serve as an advanced resource to physicians and nursing staff.

This role requires completing a CoArc approved Respiratory Care program, current RCP licensure, NBRC RRT credential, and may include PALS for ER staff; ACLS is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of CoArc approved Respiratory Care program.
• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required.
• PALS for ER coworkers is required.

• Performs direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care as ordered by physicians.
• Consults physicians on effectiveness of therapy.
• Acts as an advanced resource person for physicians and nursing staff on respiratory care.

QualificationsEducation: Graduate of CoArc approved Respiratory Care program.Licensure: Meets state licensure requirements and has a current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.Experience: None.Certifications: Hold the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential awarded by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). For co-workers who work in the Emergency Room PALS is required.Other: Physical demands are attached plus push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs. Plus, pinch up to 10 lbs., kneel, crouch, and crawl minimally. Equipment Used: All appropriate respiratory care devices. Preferred Education: Acute Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)Preferred Licensure: Preferred Experience: Prefer critical care experience.Preferred Certifications: Preferred Other:
